Pilot Information

Parafest is for all foot launched aircraft and trikes that conform to the Sub 70 exemption. We also welcome pilots of SSDR.
Sorry, we are unable to accommodate bigger or faster aircraft.

Ready for some coastal flying?

The Parafest site is close to the coast and pilots are able to benefit from the smooth sea breeze.

The surrounding area has some of the best scenic flying available for you to enjoy during your visit to North Wales.

For Paraglider Pilots

Glider pilots are within easy driving distance from the many great soaring sites the area has to offer.
You can explore everywhere from the stunning coastline to the breathtaking scenery of the mountains and valleys of Wales.

All pilots intending to use the soaring sites should be current BHPA members with a hill rating.
Please make contact with the local club and follow their site guide before flying the hills.

If you are a BHPA member and currently fly a paramotor, but have no rating, you can get your BHPA power rating while at Parafest.
Please contact one of the schools on the exhibitors page and arrange with your preferred supplier.

For Powered Pilots

You don’t need to be a BHPA member to fly from our airfield and join the fun at Parafest.
All pilots of paramotors, single seat sub 70 trikes and SSDR are welcome.
Pilots intending to use the Parafest airfield must have valid 3rd party liability insurance.
Pilots will be required to produce their insurance details during pilot registration.

Current BHPA membership with a power rating
or the AXA policy administered from Austria are both acceptable.
If you have a different policy please contact us prior to the event so we can verify its suitability.

If you would like to become a BHPA member and gain your power rating you can do this while at Parafest. Please contact any of the schools on the exhibitors page and arrange with your preferred supplier.
